Maneesh Mehan MD founded Mehan Eye in 2009. He was born and raised in Dayton Ohio graduating from Beavercreek High School.
Following his passion for playing the saxophone, he was awarded his undergraduate degree in music at Brigham Young University. He discovered a new interest in helping others to see better and attended The Ohio State University for his medical school.
While in medical school, he performed research in ophthalmology and also was a member of The Ohio State Jazz Ensemble. Dr. Mehan continued eye surgeon training at the University of Missouri, and he became a fellowship trained corneal specialist at the nationally top ten ranked prestigious eye center at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Mehan had the LASIK procedure himself over 20 years ago and still enjoys not wearing glasses.
Dr. Mehan strives to give his very best to every one of his patients. His greatest success is his family, and he and his wife are proud parents of five children.
